This site is a personal blog operated at throttld.dev. I take your privacy seriously and process as little data as possible.

Hosting

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. When you visit, Cloudflare automatically processes your IP address, browser user agent, and the requested URL in server access logs. This is necessary to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

The legal basis for this processing is legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). Cloudflare's data processing practices are described in their privacy policy.

Cookies and local storage

This site does not use cookies. A theme preference (light or dark mode) is saved in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device and is not personal data.

Analytics and tracking

This site uses Matomo, a privacy-focused, open-source analytics tool that I self-host on my own server at analytics.bs-labs.net. Your data is never sent to any third party. Matomo is configured to run without cookies, to anonymize your IP address, and to respect your browser's "Do Not Track" setting. It records aggregate page views to help me understand which posts are useful. No personal profile is built and no data is used for advertising.

The legal basis for this processing is legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). Because tracking is cookieless and IP-anonymized, no consent banner is used.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. Since this site processes only standard server logs (managed by Cloudflare), please refer to Cloudflare's privacy policy for access requests related to those logs.
